We started preparing this site for its limestone retaining wall in the San Antonio area by dropping off the first round of stones today.

This project is going to have us building 10’ tall retaining wall with 2x2x5 limestone blocks. As we continue site excavation at the wall area we started dropping and staging the blocks so they are ready to when we start building the wall next week.

This San Antonio Area project is preparing a build site for a custom build that needed site leveling for the build envelope and foundation area. The retaining wall will line the excavated area.

These 2x2x5 limestone blocks will serve as a great cosmetic feature along with a strong structural component for the site. Each flatbed truck comes with 18 stones that we unload with our site equipment and place spaced out to accommodate the retaining wall build plan and out of our work space as we continue to excavate. We will have a total of 125 limestone blocks +/- for this project when it’s all said and done.

These limestone blocks are often referred to as Butter Sticks or Butter Blocks in the San Antonio area. Follow along to see this retaining wall build come to life.
